Bluewater Health - mTuitive Solution

Bluewater Health uses the Summit Healthcare mTuitive solution to Solve their Pathology Integration Needs

The Challenge:

Bluewater Health, a 326-bed community hospital in Ontario, Canada, needed to report data to Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) from their MEDITECH Pathology System. In addition, they were using mTuitive’s xPert for Pathology and wanted to automatically share data between the two systems to avoid manual dual data entry and improve accuracy.

The Solution:

Bluewater Health chose the Summit Healthcare mTuitive solution written with the Summit Scripting Toolkit[link to Products/Task Automation/Summit Scripting Toolkit] When they are ready to do their synoptic reporting users simply hit F4 or use voice commands from their MEDITECH system to launch mTuitive. They are automatically logged on and brought to the correct patient record. Once the report is complete, they hit submit and the data from the report is automatically entered into their MEDITECH pathology system. In addition, the data is entered into a second section specifically for reporting to Cancer Care Ontario.
