Braintree, MA- Summit Healthcare, a leader in healthcare system integration and task automation, is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Beaufort Memorial Hospital to assist with their Meditech 6.0 implementation as they migrate off their existing Meditech Magic system. Beaufort Memorial will be investing in the Summit Apex product suite to maximize their integration and automation needs including electronic data exchange with their Physician Office EMR systems. In addition to the investment in the Summit Apex product suite, Beaufort has entered into an Integration Outsourcing agreement with the Summit Healthcare professional services division to handle all integration management efforts for this project.
Beaufort Memorial realized that partnering with one integration company who had a track record of success for interface management, data migration and dictionary maintenance would increase their odds for a streamlined and secure Meditech 6.0 migration. At the core of the project is the Summit Apex product suite, which includes Summit Express Connect, a robust interface engine that will also be utilized for physician office integration. Express Connect leverages a core set of HL7 interfaces from Meditech, which have proven to be the most reliable to date for the new 6.0 platform. The Meditech interfaces eliminate the need for multiple interface vendors. The Summit Scripting Toolkit provides a robust application for custom data migration and workflow automation that eliminates manual intervention during the Meditech 6.0 migration. Rounding out the Summit Apex suite is the Summit InSync and Summit Downtime Reporting products. Summit InSync will aid in dictionary maintenance and clean migration of data while the Summit Downtime Reporting System will ensure consistent access to critical data in the event of a Meditech or Network downtime. The Summit Apex product line provides the most comprehensive integration and automation tools available to the Meditech market today.
Summit Healthcare will also provide outsourced project management and implementation resources as part of the engagement. Their 6.0 expertise will be a key factor in assessing the current interface environment and determining economies related to the elimination of redundant interfaces as part of the migration project and beyond.
