Braintree, MA - Summit Healthcare, a leader in healthcare system integration and task automation, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Kanabec Hospital and Pine Medical Center to implement the Summit InSync product. Kanabec Hospital and Pine Medical are facility members of SISU Medical Systems a consortium of medical centers located throughout greater Minnesota. Another member of the SISU Medical System, Regina Medical Center implemented the Summit InSync product in April 2008.
SISU Medical Systems pride themselves on working together to share information technology resources without losing site of independence from their facilities when it comes to investing in cutting-edge technology. SISU Medical Systems which include Kanabec Hospital and Pine Medical Center currently run the MEDITECH Health Information System for their core IT systems.
When Kanabec and Pine Medical Center began discussions to migrate to the new MEDITECH 5.6.4 technology platform it became apparent early on that there would be a substantial amount of work to prepare their current dictionaries. After evaluation of the state of their dictionaries there would be work across Live and Test which meant thousands of entries. In addition to the importance of having clean, accurate data in their dictionaries it was also crucial to provide a realistic training ground to their end users when training on the new features of the MEDITECH 5.6.4 platforms.
To combat the dictionary task mentioned above Kanabec Hospital and Pine Medical Center have implemented the Summit InSync product.
