Williamson Medical Center Expands Partnership with Summit Healthcare to Improve Physician Office Integration

Summit Healthcare, a leader in healthcare system integration and task automation, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Williamson Medical Center to upgrade and expand its existing interface technology by leveraging Summit Provider Exchange.

Williamson Medical Center a 185-bed community-focused hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, is an existing customer of Summit Healthcare, which provides interface engine connectivity for physician office integration abilities. After evaluating multiple integration vendors Williamson Medical Center selected Summit Healthcare for its superior technology.

“I am thrilled to continue our relationship with Summit Healthcare as Williamson Medical Center’s integration partner and our solution for Physician Office Integration. Summit has given us a cost-effective tool to leverage our interfaces along with a proven track record of outstanding knowledge, service and support,” said Kevin Goecke, Application Supervisor, Williamson Medical Center.

Williamson Medical Center will implement Summit Provider Exchange - a scalable, secure physician office integration solution that facilitates the bi-directional communication of patient data between the hospitals core information system and physician EHR practices around our community. As Williamson Medical Center has approximately 150 physicians with more than 50 subspecialties and multiple EHR systems running, the scalable and flexible integration technology that Summit offers is an ideal solution. Phase one will involve connecting several physician offices within the medical center’s community.

In addition to the Summit Provider Exchange integration technology, Williamson Medical Center also has contracted for the forthcoming Summit Express Connect 9, the latest version of Summit’s robust interface engine. Express Connect 9 will enable WMC to lay a foundation to meet its strategic internal connectivity goals by leveraging its existing interfaces. Over time, Williamson Medical Center will be able to leverage its current interface investments and easily bridge this information to the additional destination healthcare systems.

“Williamson Medical Center is delighted to be moving forward with upgrading our interface engine to the latest version - Summit Express Connect 9,” said Bill Moran, IT Director, Williamson Medical Center. “Additionally, we are excited that the purchase of Summit Provider Exchange will allow us to extend our system connectivity into our community by communicating to several physician specialty practices throughout Williamson County.”

“We are pleased with the partnership we share with Summit Healthcare. Our previous experience found their service to be dependable with an attention to detail. We are impressed with their professionalism and the way they understand our needs and our business plan in order to bring us timely solutions and the latest technology solutions,” adds Billie Garcia, PMO Project Manager, Williamson Medical Center.
