Masonicare offers a full range of senior focused inpatient and outpatient care and currently runs MEDITECH as its primary healthcare information system. Masonicare had been investigating ways to control integration costs primarily around interface management.
Operating in a point to point interface environment has proved inefficient and costly for MHC as they continue to connect with more 3rd party ancillary systems and work toward their strategic interoperability goals. Masonicare has chosen the Summit Express Connect interface engine to streamline their integration landscape by leveraging their existing interface investments and eliminating redundant maintenance costs which will result in significant cost savings. This will also lay the interoperability foundation for future goals such as state/federal reporting, connection to health information exchanges and working toward meaningful use achievement.
