Hours/Week: Full-Time

About the Position:

The Client Services Software Engineer position will be responsible for the implementation of Summit Healthcare’s Suite of products in delivering solutions for the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate technical information while working effectively with clients, be able to create integration solutions from available tools and resources, and capable of working closely with a team of engineers. This candidate must be a self-starter who is highly organized, detail oriented and self-disciplined with the ability to work within all levels of our business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc)
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET or at least two other programming languages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot the following:
    • Network Communication issues found with common communication protocols (TCP/IP, Sockets, Webservices, Folder deliveries)
    • Coding errors using Visual Studio or a similar toolset

Familiarity with the following is a plus:

    • HL7 and non-HL7 interfaces
    • Knowledge of Meditech, McKesson, Siemens, or other HCIS software
    • VBScript
    • SQL
    • Web applications
    • Healthcare IT experience
