Jim McKinnon, President 

Over the last 20 years, Jim has played an integral role in the exceptional growth and success experienced by Summit Healthcare and its employees. His deep knowledge of the healthcare space was invaluable in helping to develop and implement the vision for Summit Healthcare, building a widely known and highly trusted organization in the Hospital and Healthcare community. In true leadership fashion, Jim’s passion motivates staff on a daily basis to perform at their very best, and most of all inspires employees to live up to the culture he and the Executive Team have created: We are committed to the highest quality of work with the very best people, respecting and trusting one another, supporting flexibility and work-life balance, and working hard while having fun!

Quarterly Employee Spotlight

Each quarter, our staff members nominate their choice of a candidate for this award.  This peer recognition includes not only a candidate name but also specific details of the achievements of the recommended employee.

Unsung Hero Award

This award is presented by the senior management team, at our annual company meeting, to the employee who best reflects the following criteria:

  • Accomplishes outstanding results without looking for acknowledgement
  • Tackles any and all projects or tasks with determination and resolve
  • Possess the ability to assemble the right resources and skills needed to accomplish the goal
  • Goes the extra mile to get answers, solve problems, provide solutions and achieve results

Friday Shout Outs

There is a lot of great work going on at Summit every day and we know recognizing others occurs regularly at the department levels without a formal program in place.  We’ve created an email distribution list for staff, management, and executives to recognize another Summit team member’s outstanding contribution in an effort to make more public across the organization.

We dedicate Fridays for these shout outs, but people continue to recognize each other daily!
