Braintree, Mass., June, 2016 – Every year, the MUSE International Conference gives individuals in the healthcare industry the opportunity to network, build upon their professional development, gain access to resources and solutions, and learn about new product innovations. The conference also gives attendees the chance to give back to the local community by supporting a charity or foundation through an initiative known as the “Heart of MUSE”.

For the past twelve years, Summit Healthcare has been proud to partner with the MUSE organization to support this great cause. At this year’s 2016 MUSE International Conference, the local charity selected as the Heart of MUSE was Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida. During the conference, all participants were given the opportunity to donate to the organization by purchasing a $5 pin. Summit Healthcare agreed to match the proceeds from all of the pins sold throughout the conference and 100 percent of the funding went directly to the charity of choice.
Although Summit Healthcare is known for our integration and automation technologies, many don’t realize the various ways we strive to give back to local communities,” said Ted Rossi, CEO, Summit Healthcare. “It’s through opportunities like the Heart of MUSE we have the chance to get involved with a number of community efforts throughout the country. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is a fantastic organization, one which Summit Healthcare takes great pride in supporting.”
Founded in 1944, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida’s mission has been to help at-risk children and provide opportunities to local youth. Through 30 Clubs, they are able to positively impact the lives of thousands of children from age 6 to 18 in Central Florida alone.
We are pleased to receive this generous donation by MUSE and Summit Healthcare. Every donated dollar we receive is another opportunity to provide our nearly 14,000 at risk Club members with a safe, healthy environment that enables them to learn, expand their skills, and reach for a successful future,” said Gary W. Cain, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

On the last day of the conference, Friday June 3, 2016 Summit Healthcare presented the gift to Gary Cain, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, to close out a both successful and fulfilling event.
